Google maps is the ultimate online mapping experience, I have used many online mapping softwares and services but very few to none compare to G maps, this service constantly amazes because I’m constantly discovering cool new features that are very useful, just a couple of days ago I discovered the Real Estate feature it has probably been there for a very long time but to be honest I had never seen it before, with this feature you can find apartments, houses, etc, for sale, for rental, or foreclosure, you can set price ranges to find a property that you can actually pay for, you can set area ranges in square feet and you can do other things to enhace your search so you can find exactly what you are looking for.
All of these rare and cool unique features provided by Google maps are great but it is the route planner and the high quality interactive maps what make me such a loyal g maps user. If you haven’t noticed I’m crazy about driving, I love driving I can’t deny that, my friends know it, my family knows it as well, and you can be sure that my passion for driving has made me learn a lot of interesting things that are very useful for me and they might be just as interesting and useful for you.
The Maps route planner is currently the most advanced and the most complete route planner in the world, I also enjoy using the Mapquest route planner, most route planning softwares provide driving directions but G maps does a little bit more than that or should I say a lot more! The maps service provided by Google offers accurate turn by turn driving, walking, biking, and transit directions, that’s right Google takes care of everyone, this service can help almost every person on the planet save time and save money. The routes provided by Google maps are the most efficient routes that you can get for any method of transportation so if you are moving around in a car you will save money because you will spend less gas thanks to the shorter more efficient routes provided by the software, if you are moving on a train the software will also create the most efficient route or routes if you have to take more than one train as well.

You can also use the service to perform searches to locate any business, place, or landmark, you will receive listing’s info, reviews, pictures, etc, allowing you to find the best places to eat, shop, and stay. You can check live traffic information, if there’s too much traffic on your way you can always drag and drop points to find alternate routes with less traffic, the different layers allow you to access aerial view, satellite view, traffic, search results, and a lot more.
G maps combines the latest developments in Geo technology with an easy to use interface, making it the ultimate user friendly website, with stunning graphics and high quality photography the service allows users to easily navigate to any place. Now you can also use Google Earth on G maps, the Google development team has finally decided to integrate two of their most popular products into one, to access Google Earth features through maps simply move your cursor to the upper right corner of the screen where the map is displayed where it says “satellite” as you move the cursor over the satellite view option the G Earth icon will be displayed right next to it, to access earth simply click on the earth icon, then you will have to download a plug-in, then you will have to install the plug-in on your PC, and finally you can start using Earth features online, if it sounds complicated don’t worry the process is actually very fast and easy just follow the instructions.
Google driving directions are probably the best there’s no doubt about that, I know the software works very well for pedestrians, bikers, and rail transit users too but I think that drivers can get the most out of this service, as a driver you can check live and predictive traffic information, you can preview your destination before you arrive with Google street view, you can choose from multiple suggested alternate routes that the software creates automatically just to give you more options, as I already mentioned you can customize your routes all by yourself by simply clicking and dragging any point on the blue directions line to any location on the map the software will automatically re-create the directions on the map and on the left panel, the estimated travel time and travel distance will also be updated. If it’s a place that you drive to a lot you can always save to my maps the routes that you create so you can have easy and fast access to them whenever you need them.
